Anything babies.
There are lots of different kinds of babies. There are fussy babies, gassy babies, colicky babies, spitty babies, easy babies, needy babies. There are descriptions for just about every type of baby.
Today Cheryl went to change Joshua's diaper and found that he had been poopy for a while. Worried that he might have a bad rash, I asked Cheryl about it. She answered no, he never gets a rash. I commented that he must not be a rashy baby, to which she replied, "He's never been a rashy baby. In fact, he isn't an ANYTHING baby. We never have anything babies." I guess if we had to put a label on him, I would say he's a little-bit-of-EVERYTHING baby. Faker cough.
Joshua has found a new way to get our attention and be picked up. If a little bit of fussing doesn't work (which it usually does), he starts to cough. It is the fakest cough I've ever heard. It is so funny. He just coughs and looks around at us, waiting to be picked up.
One-handed pepper mill.
Someone needs to invent a one-handed pepper mill. I like my pepper ground, so a regular pepper shaker isn't for me. But since the little guy likes to sit on my lap during dinner, I generally only have one hand to eat with. This makes trying to put pepper on anything virtually impossible. So either I need a third hand, or someone needs to invent me a one-handed pepper shaker.
Hanging out in the morning.
Joshua has started waking up a bit early on some mornings. This used to throw us for a loop and create all kinds of chaos, but now it is a joy. He wakes up smiling, we put him in his baby seat in the bathroom with us, and he sits there and smiles and talks to us while Cheryl and I get ready. It's nice having him awake in the morning now.
