WEEK 60 - APRIL 2003
Hair
One of my favorite parts of Joshua is his full, curly, long blond hair. How could we ever possibly decide to cut it? Well, the tradition in our house is to get the first haircut after age 1, AND after the one-year portrait is taken. Well, Joshua is now almost 14 months old, so he meets one of those criteria. But we have yet to get his 1 year pictures taken. Andrew our first born had portraits taken MONTHLY for the first year, then every 3 months thereafter. Alex, number two, got about ¾ of those. But for Joshua, lets see, I think we did a 1 or 2 month portrait, and then something around 6 months. We are such neglectful parents.
Cheryl says she's gonna get his picture taken very soon. So everyday I gaze at his beautiful hair and run my fingers through it, cuz I know any day now will be haircut day, then it's gone forever.
In the meantime, I just smile and say thank you whenever a stranger tells us how beautiful our "daughter" is.
Here is what we'll have to start doing if we don't get his hair cut soon.
If it were up to me, we would never get this beautiful hair cut.
But then, is ANYTHING ever up to ME?
