DR. BOB'S DIARY
What does your doctor call it?

So I was talking to a mom about her child's diarrhea, and I told her "we could test his poop for infection." She started laughing, and I was a little confused.

"You called it poop", she said, and continued laughing. "Most doctors call it a 'stool specimen', but you're such a dad-at-heart that you call it poop. I just find that amusing."

It really is so much nicer to talk in "parent" terms than "doctor" terms.
